What’s your role at Pfau Long?
I’m the Marketing Director—Part of my role is to look for new opportunities/projects for us and part of my role is to make sure people know about us and what we do. Favorite aspects of my job: I truly love strategizing about project pursuits and also I love the public relations aspects of my job….After college, one of my first jobs was in high tech PR and while it was fast paced and demanding, I learned many skills that I still use today……
What’s your favorite thing about working here?
We’re like family here. And the food….we eat together a lot.
What was your favorite travel experience?
Nicaragua—My husband and I traveled there for a wedding and we were lucky enough to meet locals who treated us like family and showed us around Managua. We went to Managua (big City experience), Granada (small cool town), a coffee plantation in the mountains (amazing coffee and fresh eggs) and finally Corn Island. Corn Island was pure paradise….We had a little cottage with a hammock close to the beach. We relaxed in our hammocks, played cards, swam and ate lobster (which was plentiful and reasonably priced there.) And the café had a monkey!
What are your passions outside of work?
I love spending time with my family and friends, cooking, traveling and reading.
If you weren’t in marketing, what would you do?
Make wine or run a small café by the beach.
